The employee followed directions and sent an initial payment of $400 of Bitcoin to the above address. The net transfer was approximately .0055 BTC valued at $367 USD. This transaction occurred on 2024-04-23 23:44:55.

The employee then became skeptical and decided to not engage in any additional transfers, but he did not report his concerns to his shift manager.

The following morning, the shift manager discovered $400 was missing and requested the employee to come back to Circle K. Patrol officers responded, took a report, and advised the shift manager and the employee that this is a common scam and that he will provide the information to Detectives for follow up.
